I wrote and directed Little High, a dark comedy thriller following two best friends who set out for a night of cheap revenge and a bad plant deal, and end up burying something in the Ngong Hills before sunset. Shot on location with Synscope Media, the film moves between a hospital-scrub heartbreak, a botched buy with a low-level dealer, and a farce that spirals into something closer to a crime story than either woman signed up for.
The brief I set for myself: tell a story that is unmistakably Nairobi, the Sheng, the WhatsApp voice notes, the matatu-adjacent chaos of a bad decision made worse while holding the same genre discipline as the crime dramas and prestige thrillers I grew up loving. Little High is the pilot for that ambition: proof that a story built entirely from Nairobi's own texture can carry international weight.
